PYSC members are invited to a workshop on Understanding the Culture of Poverty on Wednesday, April 10th.
This workshop provides participants with knowledge, skills, and best practices for working more effectively with impoverished populations. Keva White of VIP Community brings this workshop to help us acknowledge and shift our cultural lenses with a better understanding of diversity in our organizations. By appreciating the causes of poverty and the hidden rules of class, we can be sure our perceptions and biases do not inhibit our working relationships.
