Regional Foundation Center - Expert Office Hours: Fundraising

The Regional Foundation Center is pleased to offer Expert Office Hours with Volunteer Executive Consultants (VEC) from RSVP. On the second Wednesday of each month, VECs will be available for 45-minute management one-on-one consulting sessions to assist you with a project or goal related to the month's topic. Effective Nonprofit Governance Workshop from the Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University (MEMBERS ONLY)

Effective board membership requires more than good intentions and meeting attendance. This impactful board training is the first step in appreciating the objective and true roles and responsibilities that the job of board member requires. Attendees will come to comprehend the full responsibilities of board membership, in both the context of being part of a larger whole, as well as an individual. In addition, this course will show how to maximize the all-important partnership of board and executive director.


SERVE Philadelphia Civic Engagement Learning Series

A monthly series of topics in civic engagement. These trainings will provide tools and strategies that Philadelphians can apply to their work within their own communities. Each session will help prepare residents who are engaged in their communities to take the step toward becoming community leaders, organizers, and activists.​​

Mentoring Moments Training w/ MENTOR Independence Region (MEMBERS ONLY)

The purpose of this training is to support adults in developing a mentoring mindset with which to approach interactions and relationships with youth and increase the quality and depth of their interactions and relationships with youth.

Nonprofit accounting, reporting, and taxation (MEMBERS ONLY)

Denise McKnight, a partner at Friedman LLP will walk participants through a basic understanding of accounting for not-for-profits, the need for internal controls, reporting options, and tax requirements.


Denise will take questions ahead of time so this is a terrific opportunity to engage an expert on your big accounting and taxation questions.
